While winter hiking on groomed trails in Villnöß, you will discover enchanting viewpoints, snow-covered forests and enjoy the absolute silence of the uniquely beautiful winter landscape of the Puez-Geisler Nature Park. On snowshoes, you head off the groomed slopes into untouched landscapes. At the end of the hike or in between, you can treat yourself to an enjoyable break in a restaurant or mountain hut. In the village center of St. Magdalena is located a small ski area "Filler". It is particularly popular with families with children, beginners and those returning to the sport. It offers a playful and gentle introduction to the world of skiing. A ski hut at the valley station offers an ideal place to rest and warm up in between. 
Experienced skiers, on the other hand, will find the well-known ski resorts of Plose and Val Gardena nearby - both can be reached by public transport in just 30 minutes. 
 

 Away from the busy ski slopes, tobogganing offers the perfect way to fully embrace the joys of winter in the mountains. A toboggan ride on one of the many natural runs is an exciting experience for young and old. Whether during the day or under the stars, whether leisurely or action-packed - the Villnöss Dolomites valley offers toboggan runs for every taste and requirement. It has a variety of toboggan runs that ensure a varied winter's day. The starting points of the runs can be reached on foot via specially prepared ascent tracks. The descents take place on carefully prepared and secured toboggan runs.
